There are many historical sites and villages to visit in the neighbourhoods, the list is extensive but here are some:

Vaison-la Romaine – Roman sites

Orange with its Roman theatre

Beaume -de-Venise  with its mountains and vineyards

Roussillon famous for its ochre and the ochre museum and many charming villages (north and south Luberon. Fontaine de Vaucluse with its Spring

Saint Rémy de Provence with the Alpilles and les Baux de Provence old medieval village with its show

“son et lumière” in the old stone quarries….

Not to forget Avignon with its Theatre Festival in July, the Pope Palace and “le Pont d’Avignon”.  On the opposite bank of the Rhone river you will find castles, a monastery and a mill, pressing olives into a delicious olive oil.

Vineyards with famous wines: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Cairanne and other very nice Côte du Rhone Village and wine from Ventoux and not to foget Tavel and Lirac.

At “ la maison Crillon” you will have the opportunity to taste wine from cellars in the neighbourhood.

Upon arrival you will be greeted with a glass of wine from the local wineries.
